Investing In Windmill Energy

Investing in windmill energy  and  wind energy  is rapidly becoming an excellent investment strategy.  There are several good reasons this is happening and why prudent investors need to include wind energy in their investment strategies.  This article discusses most of the primary reasons as well as some of the existing concerns  prudent investors need to consider before making their decisions as to whether windmill energy is viable for them.

Harnessing the wind has been an effective way to create energy in a natural, cost-efficient way for centuries.  Sailors found out a long time ago that much less human energy was needed to move a boat if they could capture the wind in sails and redirect that energy rather than use oars or mechanical engines for propulsion.

Windmills have been around for centuries. The mechanical technologies utilized have evolved slower than they might have due to the cost of fossil fuel energy being a cheaper solution to create electricity.  Now the economic and political realities of the world are awakening a demand to produce clean and sustainable energy that does not have a negative, "carbon footprint" on our eco-system or create bio-hazardous waste that will further stress our lives and the quality of our climate.

Fortunately, new technology is rapidly making giant strides in creating cost-effective and clean wind energy.

Windmill energy technology has been utilized in creating electricity since 1947.  Until recently, the technology utilized in converting kinetic wind energy into electricity has remained largely unchanged. Minor changes in windmill design over the last 60 yrs. have resulted in efficiency and productivity improvements so as to make wind energy not only competitive but actually more cost effective than conventional energy in some geographic areas.

  What Does Technology Advancement Mean?

The resurgence of  interest is creating an environment of new wind energy companies who are anxious to compete.  At present,  The future for windmill energy electricity is huge.  In the USA there are less than 2.5 million households, serving 7 million people, depending on windpowerd sources.  This in a country of over 300 million people and approximately 100 million households and businesses into entities being servd by windpower speak volumnes in regard  to windmill energy potential  It is noteworthy to remember that the more clean energy sources developed the less dependence on fossil fuels.  This helps keep gasoline prices in check at the pump.  This is true th world over.  Remember that China and India represent over 2 billion people and Africa is emerging and will represent a large energy market as it industrializes.  Reducing demand for fossil fueled energy  is vital for all this planet’s inhabitants…and utilizing windmill energy is an important piece of the solution.

This means that wind energy has created a great investment opportunity.

AES called it proprietary information. A little research has lead me to the US Department of Energy site (www.windpoweringamerica.gov/wind_maps.asp) and it shows that the wind resources in this region are quite limited.   Read more…

LESTERVILLE, S.D. (AP) One of the provisions in the $700 billion federal bailout of the nation’s financial sector created a residential wind investment tax credit of 2000 per kilowatt of capacity. ….. but they are land-greedy. No amount of taxpayer money spent on windmills will ever make them practical. They are really a leftie plan to starve us of energy. Lefties want to destroy the wealth of America and the rest of the industrialized world.    Read more…
